Along with hundreds of new homes, Brough South will bring a large range of much-needed, new amenities to residents in Brough and the neighbouring villages of Elloughton and Welton. The development will include a primary school, which will provide first class primary education to around 210 pupils.
Brough South will also bring a range of new leisure and retails facilities to the town, including healthcare facilities, a family pub and restaurants, a top-brand supermarket and other, non-food retail outlets. There will be provision for local businesses too, as part of the development is given over to commercial premises, which will be designed to complement those available at the nearby Humber Enterprise Park.
To facilitate better traffic movement to Brough South and around the town, off-site road improvements the will be made as part of the scheme. This includes widening the roundabout on Moor Road and remodelling the junction between the A63 and Welton Road, to enhance traffic flows and reduce congestion at peak times.
Brough South will also provide the development of Phases 2 and 3 of the Brough Relief Road which will provide access to the development and also link Moor Road to the Humber Enterprise Park and Skillings Lane. Phase 2 is due to complete in February 2018 and Phase 3 will follow in 2021.
