Year 5 pupils from Hunsley Primary have taken part in a competition to design a Health & Safety awareness poster run by local civil engineering firm C R Reynolds.
The competition was part of a wider presentation the Hessle business gave to pupils at the Brough South school, highlighting the importance of safety in the construction industry and the different roles available.
It was won by Evie Webster who not only bagged a £20 Amazon gift voucher for her work, her poster will also be turned into a sign and displayed at Brough South.
Second place went to Auryn Hudson who received a £15 Amazon gift voucher and Layla Oram took third place with her poster, netting a £10 Amazon gift voucher.
Hunsley Primary is a new primary school serving Brough South and surrounding areas, created as part of the Brough South Development.
Along with nearby South Hunsley school, Driffield and Malet Lambert schools, it is led by The Education Alliance multi academy trust and is part of the Wolds Teaching School Alliance and Teacher Training group.
C R Reynolds is responsible for the majority of ground-work and civil engineering at Brough South, including for the Brough Relief Road and land raising for housing and the proposed Aldi supermarket.
