Brough South Aldi opens its door to shoppers

The new Aldi supermarket in Brough South has opened its doors.

The supermarket is the first in a host of exciting retail and leisure amenities planned for the £200m Brough South development, further enhancing this already popular East Yorkshire town.

Other food retailers, a family-friendly pub and restaurant, and non-food shops, will all form part of the retail and leisure offer as Brough South continues to be developed.

The development is being brought forward by leading East Yorkshire property developer, the Horncastle Group PLC, on behalf of the Brough South Consortium. The consortium is made up of the developers, local landowners and developers Alma Jordan (Builders) Ltd, Riplingham Estates and BAE Systems.

Ian Hodges, Managing Director of the Horncastle Group PLC, said it was fantastic to see the start of Brough South’s retail offering.

He said: “Brough South has always been a mixed development in the truest sense of the word, bringing new homes to the town, but also more choice and amenities to existing residents.

“Aldi has significantly enhanced Brough’s food retail offering and will pave the way for further food and non-food shops and other first-class amenities going forward.”
